Dinner and Movie
Come join your neighbors on Wednesday, January 16 at
the Ramada for a hearty, delicious bowl of New England clam chowder or beef vegetable
soup, with salad, a brownie and the usual libations. Social time
starts at 4:30, dinner will be served at 5:00, and the movie will start
at 6:00. Price is $7.00. The
movie will be The Best
Exotic Marigold Hotel. Some
British retirees (Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy)
decide to outsource their retirement to exotic India. Lured
by advertisements for the newly restored Marigold Hotel and
imagining a life of leisure in lush surroundings, they
arrive and find that the Marigold is actually a shell of its
former self. The retirees find that life and love can begin
again when they let go of their pasts.
EEHOA Annual Meeting
You don't want to miss the HOA's annual meeting next Monday, January,
21 at 1:00 PM at CPAC (Community Performance & Art
Center) on West Continental Road. A major feature of the
meeting will be the announcement of election results for the
board members for the coming year. A special board meeting
will be held directly afterwards to elect officers and board
committee chairs and review HOA activities. Homeowners are
welcome to attend. Whether you are a new homeowner or have
been here a while, the meetings are a good opportunity to
learn what's going on in EE.
EE Name and Address Directory
The 2019 Name and Address Directory will be for sale at the
annual HOA meeting for $5.00. With so many properties
changing hands in the last year, your old directory is
outdated, so consider buying a new one. If you are unable
to attend the meeting but want a copy, contact Karen
White at 520-648-3993.
Attention Fiber Artists
There will be a change in time and place for the meeting on Thursday
January 17. We will start at 1:30 and
meet at Bernie Olson's. Her address is 820 Napa.
Back by popular demand, Bernie will lead participants in
making fabric flowers like we did last spring. She will
provide all materials.
Free Yoga Classes
Kathy Lindeman is trying to determine if
there is enough interest to have yoga classes in EE. They
would take place in the Ramada on either Tuesday or Thursday
afternoons. The day and time will be determined by the
group. The person who has volunteered to teach is Phyllis
Schmidt, who has taught yoga for many years. If interested
in these classes, contact Kathy at 970-577-3395 and
let her know which day you would prefer.
2019 Ramada Sale
The Enhancement Committee's annual Ramada Sale on March 2nd is
the perfect way to rid your home of unwanted items. You can
drop off donated items at the shed next to the pickleball courts
any Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Pick-ups
for heavier items are now available by
calling Patty Tracy at 520-444-4472. The
committee will not accept mattresses, hide-a-beds, clothing,
paints or chemicals. The electronics policy has
changed. Only working laptop computers and working printers with
ink cartridges will be accepted. No other electronics -- TVs,
cables, etc. -- will be accepted. If you have a non-working
computer, you can take it to Best Buy for recycling. Donations
of electronics will only be accepted at the shed.
